It’s Christmas Eve Day, and I should be wrapping my presents
for tomorrow, but I decided to write a short update to my blog. First, I want to wish all of you out there a
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Holidays, or whichever greeting you
prefer during this season of family, merriment, and fun. Regardless of your preference, I do,
sincerely, hope you enjoy this time of year.
Of course, I’m still grounded in PA without an RV, but still having a good time. Tomorrow it’s Christmas dinner at my brother’s house with lots of family and in-laws around. Next week, a quiet celebration of the start of another year of life…and, for me, they just seem to be getting better and better.
Since my last post, my new acting “career” has picked up
steam. Besides the movies I mentioned
from earlier this year, I have been a background actor on a couple of episodes
of “House of Cards” (Netflix) and on the last 3 episodes of “VEEP” (HBO). I have had the privilege of meeting Kevin
Spacey and Robin Wright from HOC and Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Anna Chlumsky on
VEEP. In fact, since I was on the season
finale of VEEP, I worked on set with pretty much all the actors from that
show. I’ve had a great time and hope to
continue working on these and other projects in the coming year.
I also was in a commercial being shown to doctors in the
medical industry. As far as money goes,
commercials pay much better than background acting…of course, speaking parts in
movies and TV shows pay more, too. And, I
have a good shot at being a background actor in “Creed”, the next installment
of the “Rocky” movie franchise. We start
shooting that in late January in Philadelphia.
I’ve started some “voice acting”, too. Again, it’s all low-budget, no pay projects at this time, but the producers/directors of these projects have been very positive about me. So, maybe another fun activity for my new “creative” ventures.
I’ve reduced my toy
purchases, mostly because I’ve been too busy to shop…lol. But I did buy a small collapsible table, the
Wenzel Portable Event Table.

This mug is vacuum insulated,
holds 16 oz and is rated to keep drinks hot for 5 hours and cold for 9
hours. It has a drink cap that seals
well and even has a built in hook inside for a tea infuser, if that’s your
choice of caffeine intake. I’ll be able
to give you a more in-depth review of how well it works after I’ve used it a
few times.
Otherwise, I’m toy-free this
Christmas…unless Amazon answers my request for an invitation to buy the new “Echo”. If I get that, then, yes, I’m buying me a new
toy. If (when??) I get one, I’ll give
you a write-up of what it does and how well it does it.
So, with that, I wish all a Happy
Holiday Season. I hope all of you have a
great Christmas and a very, very Happy New Year.
See you soon,
Wayne from PA
